Greeting for a New Year 2025 from the Boyd Heritage Museum. Our last newsletter was the fall 2024 and since that time The Boyd Museum has been busy fundraising and participating in cultural events that promote our mandate. The Mandate of the Boyd Heritage Museum is to collect, acquire, preserve, conserve, exhibit, and interpret artifacts and records that document, illustrate and give context to the activities of Mossom Boyd, his family and their business enterprises across Canada and internationally; to conduct research for museum and publication purposes; and to interpret to the public how the Village of Bobcaygeon and the Kawartha Lakes region were developed and influenced economically, socially and politically by the Boyd Family and its enterprises.

The Boyd Museum received a wonderful collection of photos & memorabilia from the late Bridgie Boyd Macintosh. We also received a wombat coat, a gorgeous early pine hutch, table and chairs. We also just also received a beautiful Karl Illini original painting of the Boyd House.

Our Mandate of the A. Sheila Boyd Foundation is:

The mandate of the A. Sheila Boyd Foundation is to preserve and maintain the Boyd Building (Bobcaygeon, Ontario), its interior, exterior and the site as a unique and historically significant property; to establish, operate and sustain the Boyd Heritage Museum; to provide a place for cultural and heritage education; and to partner with others to provide cultural activities.
