Originally what was the Boyd Lumber office,
The A. Sheila Boyd Foundation, established in 1984,
now owns and maintains the historic Boyd Building.

Escape into the history of Bobcaygeon and discover through our artifacts and archive records how The Boyds family influenced the economic and social development of Bobcaygeon and the Kawartha Lakes area.

Gander at our displays of antiques, vintage dresses and housewares from the Boyd Estate. Observe how The Boyd women kept a fashionable home with fine art, exquisite jewelry and vintage clothing.

Group tours are available upon
request both in season and off season.

Bring your children, grandchildren or students on a guided tour at our heritage museum. Our staff will take them on a journey through time presenting our Canadian heritage. Our displays demonstrate how our ancestors lived, worked and survived in this region and by chance, the children may meet the majestic buffalo, Napoleon.

Whatever your interests are, whether it be history, vintage clothing, hand work, textiles, 19th century artifacts, lumbering , agriculture, the Trent Canal Waterway, the history of the Bobcaygeon Railway, or just to escape to another dimension, we have it all at the Boyd Heritage Museum.
