"We keep the history of Bobcaygeon alive."

The history of Bobcaygeon is preserved by the Boyd Gallery which was established in 1984. The foundation owns and maintains the historic Boyd Building which originally was the Boyd Lumber office.

The Foundation

• promotes the preservation of this historic building and site, its artifacts and archival material
  
• houses the Bobcaygeon Library, The Boyd Gallery, and The Boyd Heritage Museum
  
• publishes a bi-annual newsletter, "The Boyd Papers"
  
• stages fundraising events to support the Foundation such as, book sales, antiques & collectibles shows.
• provides information about local history through presentations and out-reach programmes
  
• has developed the Boyd Heritage Museum to interpret the lives and enterprises of the Mossom Boyd family from the 1830s
  
• provides volunteers for the Museum and special events - operates an Art Gallery for local artists to display their work
  
• provides a place for cultural and heritage education and events.
